KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, June 14 (Xinhua) -- At least four militants have been killed and three others sustained injuries as the security forces attacked Taliban hideouts in Khakriz district of Afghanistan's southern Kandahar province, said an army statement released here Friday.
The government forces, according to the statement, stormed Taliban hideouts in parts of Khakriz district on Thursday and so far have killed four insurgents and injured three others.
According to the statement, the security forces would continue to pursue the armed militants in the militancy-battered country.
Taliban militants have yet to comment.
