BEIJING, June 15 (Xinhua) -- China's Peking University made both men and women's finals in the 21st edition of Chinese University Basketball Association (CUBA) league here on Friday.
In the men's semifinal, defending champions Peking University started to lead from the start to ease past their counterpart Xiamen University 111-80.
In the other semifinal, Tsinghua University played a hard-fought game, as they once trailed behind in the third quarter. But Central South University missed the final shot to give Tsinghua the triumph by 75-71, setting up a final match-up with Peking University.
Peking University beat Tsinghua in the final of northeast division encounter and mentally holds an advantage over Tsinghua in the final showdown slated for Sunday.
In the women's final, Peking University will face Beijing Normal University.
