SUVA, June 21 (Xinhua) -- Fiji Airways, the country's national carrier, will open its aviation academy in Nadi, the third largest city of Fiji, later this year.
Fiji Airways' Managing Director and CEO Andre Viljoen said on Friday that this will allow their pilots as well as those from around the world to experience a world class simulator training program in Nadi where Fiji's international airport is located.
Viljoen said Fiji Airways will also be getting an A350 model, considered one of the most advanced aircraft in the world, in November this year.
Fiji Airways was recently awarded the coveted Skytrax 4 Star rating at the 2019 Skytrax World Airline Awards in Paris, joining a select group of elite airlines in the prestigious category.
