JAKARTA, June 25 (Xinhua) -- World champion of the 2018 World Motocross Grand Prix Jefrey Herling and many world-class crossers will compete in a championship this year in Indonesia's provincial capital of South Sumatra next month, an official said on Tuesday.
The director of the circuit revealed that a total of 60 world-class crossers have confirmed their participation with the committee.
The 2019 World Motocross Grand Prix is slated to be held from July 6 to 7, the committee said, adding that the 60 crossers will take part in two sport categories of MX1 and MX2.
Two world-class crossers (Antonio Cairoli and Tim Gaiser) will be among the registering crossers.
Several other world-class free stylers from Belgium, South Africa and Canada will entertain fans with dangerous stunts during the event.
"We would like to create a special impression for spectators from abroad," he was quoted by Antara news wire as saying.
The crossers will compete in a 1.6-km circuit in a compound near H.A. Bastari street in Palembang.
