FRANKFURT, June 25 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged down on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 46.13 points, or 0.38 percent, to close at 12,228.44 points.
Global internet technology and financial services provider Wirecard lost 1.82 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by automotive supplier Continental and material manufacturer Covestro, which lost 1.51 percent and 1.49 percent respectively.
Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies gained 1.39 percent, becoming the top gainer. Multinational building materials company HeidelbergCement and chemical and consumer goods company Henkel advanced 0.94 percent and 0.84 percent respectively.
Multinational software corporation SAP was the most traded share with a turnover of 238.1 million euros (271.1 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
