U.S.-listed Chinese firms trade mostly higher

NEW YORK, June 26 (Xinhua) -- U.S.-listed Chinese companies traded mostly higher on Wednesday with nine of the top 10 stocks by weight in the S&P U.S. Listed China 50 index ending the day on an upbeat note.

Shares of JD.com and Ctrip.com International gained 5.75 percent and 5.11 percent respectively,leading the gainers in the top 10 stocks of the index.

Shares of ZTO Express closed flat for the day.

U.S. stocks closed mixed on Wednesday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 11.40 points, or 0.04 percent, to 26,536.82. The S&P 500 was down 3.60 points, or 0.12 percent, to 2,913.78. The Nasdaq Composite Index rose 25.25 points, or 0.32 percent, to 7,909.97.

As of Tuesday, the S&P U.S. Listed China 50 index stood at 2,679.75, marking a 6.24-percent increase for the month-to-date returns and a 16.95-percent gain for the year-to-date returns. Enditem
