RABAT, June 28 (Xinhua) -- Morocco on Friday expressed support for restoring unity and stability in Mali.
"We reiterates Morocco's clear position in favor of national unity, and stability in Mali," said Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita at a press briefing after his meeting with his Malian counterpart Tiebile Drame.
Morocco supports Mali in restoring its "regional role which has always been important between the Sahel and North Africa," Bourita added.
For his part, Drame thanked Morocco for all support it has provided to Mali since the outbreak of a serious security and institutional crisis in his country.
He also expressed Mali's determination to strengthen cooperation and people-to-people exchanges with Morocco.
