Combo photo taken on June 21, 2019 shows the hands of Murgul Ezibek, son of Ezibek Yusupbek; Anarhan Sarfik, wife of Ezibek Yusupbek; and Ezibek Yusupbek (from L to R) in Datong Township, Taxkorgan Tajik Autonomous County of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The Laybulak pasture lies in the heartland of the Pamir Plateau in northwest China at around 3,700 meters above sea level, which is a major summer pasture for the nomads of Aktogar Langgar Village. Previous every summer, the poverty-stricken family of Ezibek Yusupbek went to the Laybulak pasture for herding, which used to be a major source of the family's income. Thanks to local government's subsidy measures and pension policy, the income from herding has taken less proportion in Ezibek Yusupbek family's annual income at present. They are also funded by a resettlement house in urban area from government to help them to get rid of poverty. Nowadays the family of Ezibek Yusupbek has been striving to improve their life through herding for themselves and other people. (Xinhua/Hu Huhu)
