RABAT, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Morocco arrested on Friday a 19-year-old wanted by an international search warrant for allegedly joining the Islamic State (IS) militant group.
The young man was arrested in Bni Chiker near the northern province of Nador, in coordination with the Spanish Civil Guard, said a statement of the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation, Morocco's intelligence bureau.
The suspect has been fully engaged in propaganda for the benefit of the IS by advocating its bloodthirsty acts, added the statement.
Investigations conducted by the security services of Morocco and Spain showed he has been working to develop skills in the manufacture of explosives.
He had planned to obtain firearms for use in large-scale terrorist operations in coordination with the IS, according to the statement.
