YANGON, July 9 (Xinhua) -- Minor earthquakes jolted Myanmar's Sagaing region twice in single day on Tuesday.
According to the Meteorology and Hydrology Department, an earthquake of 4.4 magnitude struck at 11:00 a.m. local time (0430 GMT).
Its epicenter was monitored at 24.1 km southeast of Mawlaik and 78.9 km southeast of Tamu seismological observatory in Sagaing region, with 102 km of depth.
On the same day in the morning, a 4.3-magnitude quake also hit at 9:32 a.m. local time (0302 GMT) with an epicenter monitored at 22.5 km west-northwest of Yinmarbin town and 144.8 km southwest of Kanbalu seismological observatory in the same region.
No damage was reportedly caused by the quakes so far.
