BEIJING, July 9 (Xinhua) -- Beijing Renhe said Tuesday that it has inked a deal with Spaniard Luis Garcia as new head coach in a bid to avoid relegation in the Chinese Football Association Super League (CSL).
Garcia, who managed the team in 2017, will replace Aleksandar Stanojevic, known as Stano, who earlier offered his resignation due to personal reasons.
"Beijing Renhe hopes Garcia can lead the team through our present difficulties, come out of its slump, and open a new chapter," the club said in a statement.
In 2017, Garcia led Beijing Renhe back to the CSL as runners-up in China's Series A league. He also has had coaching stints in Spain and the United Arab Emirates.
