JAKARTA, July 10 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian women's basketball squad is prepared for the 2019 SEA Games and will compete in the 2019 FIBA Women's Asia Cup in India later this year, the team manager said on Wednesday.
The 2019 FIBA Women's Asia Cup is slated to be held from September 24-29 in Bangalore, India.
Manager of the Indonesian women basketball Christopher Tanuwidjaja said that a total of 15 best women basketball players will compete with opponents from other nations.
The players are prepared for competing in the 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines later this year, the manager said, citing that participation in the tournament in India will be a warm up for the Games.
"One of the tryout matches we have prepared for is participation in the 2019 FIBA Women's Asia Cup. This tournament is very good, and it will give experience to the players in facing opponents from Asia before they play in the SEA Games," he said.
The 30th biennial regional multisport event is scheduled to be held in the Philippines from November 30- December 11. Enditem
