KUNMING, July 18 (Xinhua) -- Border police in southwest China's Yunnan Province recently captured a suspect for smuggling cattle, local police said Thursday.
Police in Maguan County found a man was herding a group of cattle in Renhe Township at around 6:00 p.m. on July 13. The man was unable to provide legitimate documents for the cattle upon the request of police officers.
The suspect later confessed that he purchased 10 head of cattle from Vietnam and smuggled them into Yunnan through the border area.
The man has been detained for further investigation and the cattle have been seized by local police.
