CAIRO, July 18 (Xinhua) -- Algeria coach Djamel Belmadi said here Thursday that his team is preparing in the best conditions for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final against Senegal, stressing his men "are playing this match just to win."
"We are not tired, but 100 percent ready. We want to win the tournament for our people. We want to make them happy," Belmadi told a press conference.
The Algerian manager said, "we are focused and I rely on my players' motivation and enthusiasm."
"We are playing against the best African ranked team, and they played in the previous World Cup, so they are the favorites," he noted.
The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations final will be held at the Cairo International Stadium on Friday between Algeria and Senegal, with the presence of FIFA's chief Gianni Infantino.
Algeria beat Nigeria 2-1 in the semifinal, while Senegal made it to the final by defeating Tunisia 1-0.
