ZHENGZHOU, July 19 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed, 18 seriously injured and 12 still unaccounted for after an explosion rocked a gas plant in the city of Yima, Henan Province, Friday afternoon.
As of 9:20 p.m. the rescue is still going on, according to the emergency management bureau of the city of Sanmenxia, which administers Yima.
The explosion happened around 5:45 p.m. in the air separation unit of the Yima gas factory of the Henan Coal Gas (Group) Co., Ltd.
Further investigation is underway.
