WUHAN, China, July 22 (Xinhua) -- A convoy of 18 Dongfeng-branded vehicles was handed over to the Executive Committee of the 7th Military World Games on Sunday here in the host city of Wuhan.
These vehicles will be employed in the nationwide torch relay of the Games from August to October this year.
The convoy consists of six different models of 18 vehicles designed by China, providing command, pilot and safety guarantee functions to ensure a smooth torch relay.
Along with the vehicle convoy, a torch relay team of professionals and technicians was deployed, said officials from the Dongfeng Motor Corporation, the provider of the vehicles.
The torch relay for the 7th Military World Games will commence on August 1 in Nanchang, the cradle of the People's Liberation Army.
