TAICHUNG, Taiwan, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Mainland athletes won a dozen gold medals Thursday at the 2019 Asian Para Table Tennis Championships held in Taichung city, Taiwan, earning 12 tickets to the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games.
Mainland players have also won nine silver medals and 13 bronze medals so far, according to the delegation.
The mainland delegation consists of 56 members, including 40 athletes and eight coaches. A total of 277 athletes from 19 countries and regions of Asia compete in the games, which fall into two categories, one for players with physical disabilities and the other for those with mental disabilities.
The event is organized by the Sports Federation for Individuals with Disabilities. It is scheduled from Tuesday to Saturday. Enditem
