WINDHOEK, July 30 (Xinhua) -- Namibian Basketball School League (NBSL) will be hosting the first ever NBSL Basketball Festival, with the aim of creating awareness regarding the sport currently in a decline in Namibia.
The event will take place on August 10 at the Basketball Artists School (BAS) in the capital Windhoek, the Namibia Basketball Federation (NBF) public relation officer Jacobina Uushona told Xinhua in an interview on Tuesday.
"The festival will look at promoting the youth development in basketball and basketball in general with a morning session for mini-basketball (under-12) and afternoon session for the youngsters (U15) and evening session for young adults (U23)," he said.
"Tournaments for the three age groups will be held with prize money to be won," he added.
