ATHENS, July 31 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 Wednesday jolted the Greek southern resort of Crete, according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center.
The epicenter was located about 20 km southwest of the island capital of Iraklion, about 316 km south of Athens, at about 80 km depth, according to preliminary data.
No casualties or injuries have been reported so far by local authorities.
It is the second earthquake to strike Greece this month.
