RAMALLAH, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- An official of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) said Saturday that the committee appointed by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is set to hold a meeting to lay out the mechanisms for halting agreements with Israel.
Saleh Raafat, member of Executive Committee of the PLO, told the official Palestinian radio station that the leadership is moving at various fronts to fight back Israeli attacks.
Last month, Abbas declared that the Palestinian leadership has decided to stop abiding by the signed agreements between the PLO and Israel, in the wake of massive house demolition in East Jerusalem town of Sur Baher, which was the first to take place in areas classified as area (A) that is under Palestinian control as per the 1993 interim Oslo accords.
