Growth drives salary: Survey by job-hunting website shows 5G architects earn highest wages in China's Internet sector as the technology experiences rapid development.
BEIJING, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- As a result of the growing 5G industry in China, talents in this field are in great demand and highly paid in China, according to a survey released by job-hunting website Liepin on the employment status of middle- and high-end talent in the first half of the year.
The survey shows 5G architects are the highest-paid with an average monthly salary of 42,800 yuan (6,239 U.S. dollars) among peers in the Internet sector. Their average payment more than doubles the average monthly payment of the Internet sector, namely 19,047 yuan.
Meanwhile, as China works to boost waste sorting, demand for experts in this field jumped about 120 percent in the first half from the same period last year.
The average monthly salary for waste sorting back-end developer was 16,667 yuan, followed by the monthly salary for solid waste disposal engineer at 13,458 yuan.
Three cities reported an average monthly salary of more than 20,000 yuan, namely Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.
