KIEV, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- Legendary FC Dynamo's midfielder Olexiy Mikhaylichenko, 56, was appointed the club's head coach for the second time, the club's official website said on Thursday.
Mikhaylichenko had directed FC Dynamo from 2002 to 2004, during which the club won the Ukraine's Championship twice.
On August 14, FC Dynamo sacked head coach Alexander Khatskevich, a former midfielder of Chinese Super League side Tianjin Teda.
Dynamo won the Ukrainian Super Cup in 2018 and 2019 under Khatskevich's leadership but failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League three years in a row.
