Former Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama lauds China for its support for Ghana's development, citing China-supported infrastructural projects across the country and Chinese government scholarships awarded to Ghanaian students.
ACCRA, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- Ghana's ex-president John Dramani Mahama has lauded China for its support for Ghana's development, a release said here on Friday.
Conferring with Chinese Ambassador to Ghana Wang Shiting, Mahama thanked the Chinese government and Chinese people for the support in the construction of various infrastructural projects in the country.
"The development support we received from China included the University of Health and Allied Sciences, Atuabo Gas Processing Plant and the award of Chinese government scholarships to a record number of Ghanaians to study critical development-oriented courses in China," Mahama said.

"I am of the firm belief that Ghana and China will continue to enjoy a cordial relationship for the mutual benefit of our citizens," the former Ghanaian leader said.
The two sides also recalled the warm relations and longstanding cooperation between Ghana and China.
