MINSK, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- The current ceasefire in Ukraine's eastern region of Donbass is the most effective one, an envoy of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) said on Wednesday.
Over the past 30 days since the truce entered into force on July 21, the number of ceasefire violations was much lower than before and no civilian was killed in shelling, said Martin Sajdik, special representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and in the Trilateral Contact Group.
The Trilateral Contact Group on the Donbass settlement, which consists of diplomats from Ukraine, Russia and the OSCE, discussed repairing the bridge in Stanitsa Luganskaya in Donbass, Sajdik told reporters in Minsk.
The next meeting of the contact group will take place on Sept. 4 in the Belarusian capital.
