JERUSALEM, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- Dutch club Feyenoord Rotterdam reached the group stage of the UEFA's Europa League after an impressive 3-0 away win over the Israeli side Hapoel Beer Sheva on Thursday in the playoff round.
A week after the Dutch won 3-0 in the first leg, 10,000 Israeli fans in the southern city of Beer Sheva hoped for a dream comeback, but Feyenoord's goalkeeper, Kenneth Vermeer, saved at least three home goals in the first half.
Beer Sheva's little hope ended in the 41st minute, as midfielder Hanan Maman was sent off with a red card after unsportsmanlike foul against Dutch defender Ridgeciano Haps.
The red card made it easier for the Dutch, who scored three times in the second half, by midfielders Orkun Kokcu in the 46th minute, Steven Berghuis (52) and Wouter Burger (61).
Beer Sheva's Lithuanian goalkeeper, Ernestas Setkus, saved a penalty kick on 81 minutes, from Dutch striker Naoufal Bannis.
The Europa League group stage draw, with 48 clubs to be divided into 12 groups, will be held in Monaco on Friday.
