Students greet new semester across China

 

First graders exercise during the break at the Orphan School of Jilin Province in Changchun, capital of northeast China's Jilin Province, Aug. 29, 2019. Seventy-six students, including 14 first graders, greeted the new semester that began on Monday in the Orphan School of Jilin Province. Various measures regarding diet and accommodation were taken to help first-grade students adapt to the school life. Founded in 1956, the Orphan School of Jilin Province serves as a specialized institution for social welfare to adopt and educate orphans in Jilin Province. About 6,000 students have walked out of the school and been applying what they have learnt here to contribute to society. (Xinhua/Lin Hong)
