LONDON, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- The main dish of the fourth round of matches in this season's Premier League comes on Sunday afternoon when Arsenal entertain Tottenham in a North London derby.
The game comes on the back of defeats for both sides with Arsenal well-beaten 3-1 away to Liverpool, while the Spurs crashed to a shock 1-0 defeat at home to Newcastle United.
The Spur's defeat and some of the football they have produced at the start of this season without Christian Eriksen in the side has set alarm bells ringing. It was the 15th game they have lost in 2019.
Arsenal looked good while winning their first two games of the campaign, and a home win would certainly allow Unai Emery's side to go into the international break with an important confidence boost.
The weekend kicks off on the south coast, where Southampton entertain Manchester United.
Southampton won their first game of the season last weekend, while United's positive start ended with a surprise defeat to Crystal Palace. Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks likely to put his faith in youth on Saturday and give 17-year-old Mason Greenwood the chance to start for the injured Anthony Martial, but who will take a penalty if United get one is anyone's guess after recent misses from Paul Pogba and Marcos Rashford.
Chelsea won their first game under Frank Lampard last weekend with a 3-2 victory at Norwich and they face another recently promoted side when Sheffield United visit Stamford Bridge.
The positive atmosphere around Lampard will have been further boosted by midfielder Mason Mount getting a call up into the latest England squad and he will be looking to net his third league goal of the season.
Manchester City are at home to Brighton and should expect to claim three relatively easy points as highlighted by the fact that Pep Guardiola's side have lost just one game to non-top-six opponents in the last three years.
League leaders Liverpool have a short trip to Burnley, where they know they will have to withstand defend well against high balls to the home side's powerful striker Ashley Barnes.
Last season saw Liverpool's Joe Gomez suffer a broken leg following a strong challenge from Burnley's Ben Mee and there will be no love lost on the pitch at Turf Moor.
Elsewhere, Newcastle United can build on last weekend's win at White Hart Lane and further ease early season gloom when Watford travel to St James Park with three consecutive defeats to start the season. Another defeat for Javi Gracia's side could see him become the first managerial casualty of the campaign.
Leicester City entertain Bournemouth in what should be an entertaining game at the King Power Stadium, while Tyrone Mings will want to celebrate his England call up by helping Aston Villa to a win away to Crystal Palace.
West Ham United need to find a way to stop Norwich striker Teemu Pukki who has already scored five goals this season, while Everton entertain Wolves in a game which sees two Portuguese coaches. Marco Silva and Nuno Espiritu Santo go head to head in what looks like an evenly matched affair.
