NEW YORK, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- World No. 13 Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus Friday announced the end of her coaching relationship with former player Dmitry Tursunov.
Sabalenka first began working with Tursunov shortly before her rapid rise up the rankings last summer, capturing a pair of titles at New Haven and Wuhan, and starting the season with a run to the Shenzhen Open title.
But after January, Sabalenka struggled to regain her top form and at the ongoing US Open, the ninth seed's Grand Slam campaign came to an end in the second round, falling to Yulia Putintseva of Kazakhstan in straight sets.
