OSLO, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- At least four people died in a helicopter crash outside Alta municipality in northern Norway, Norwegian media reported Saturday.
According to the reports, there were in total six persons on board. Four of them were dead, one was missing, and the other one heavily injured was flown to the hospital in Tromso city, newspaper Aftenposten reported.
The helicopter was hired in connection with the music festival Hostsprell, which has now been canceled.
The Joint Rescue Coordination Centers in Southern Norway and Northern Norway (HRS) has no indications that the accident happened due to difficult weather conditions as there was fine weather on site.
Stig Anton Eliassen from organization Alta Event confirmed to broadcaster TV2 that the accident happened near the scene of the festival Hostsprell. "The accident happened a few kilometers from the festival," he said.
