SHANGHAI, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- NYU Shanghai and New York University's Tisch School of the Arts have launched a year-long Master of Arts program in interactive media arts in late August.
The program will begin accepting applications in mid-September for the first class of students to enroll in July 2020.
The new degree is a collaboration between the Interactive Media Arts Program (IMA) at NYU Shanghai and the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at NYU Tisch, and will be focused on the production, application and understanding of interactive media for creative expression and critical engagement.
NYU Shanghai Provost, Joanna Waley-Cohen, said, "This joint low-residency master's program builds in innovative ways on the strengths of both IMA and ITP to create something brand new that represents the best of both."
The program consists of two semesters of online coursework and three required residencies.
