ACCRA, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- Ghana's Black Queens, the country's national women's team, beat Gabon 2-0 on Tuesday to advance to the next stage of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games qualifiers.
Portia Boakye put the Queens ahead in the 15th minute after she slotted home a cross from the right flank before scoring her second goal in the 69th minute to ensure that Ghana completed the double over the Les Pantheres.
Ghana, chasing its first-ever Olympic qualification, progressed on a 5-0 aggregate following the Queens' 3-0 first-leg win in Libreville and will face Kenya in the next round of the qualifiers.
The overall winner after the fifth round will seal a place in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, while the runner-up will contest a play-off against Chile, the second-placed side in the South American qualifiers. Enditem
