NEW DELHI, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- At least nine people were killed and 50 feared trapped in a firecracker factory blast in India's northern state of Punjab, local media reported on Wednesday.
The incident occurred in Batala area of Gurdaspur in Punjab.
According to the reports, fire tenders have rushed to the spot and fire fighting is being carried out. Further details are awaited.
