MINSK, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- The truce in Ukraine's eastern region of Donbass since July 21 continues to yield favorable results, an envoy of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) said on Wednesday.

The number of civilian casualties in east Ukraine remains the lowest since the start of the conflict, said Martin Sajdik, special representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and in the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) on Donbass settlement.

Over the past three weeks not a single casualty has been registered among civilians, the diplomat said following a meeting of the TCG, which consists of diplomats from Ukraine, Russia and the OSCE.

Sajdik urged all parties to strictly abide by their commitments, especially in view of the start of the school year.

He also welcomed the positive dynamics in the implementation of the TCG decisions on restoring the bridge in Stanitsa Luganskaya in Donbass.

The next TCG meeting will take place on Sept. 18.
