BEIJING, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- "Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw," the latest spin-off of "The Fast and the Furious" franchise, led the Chinese mainland box office on Friday, the China Movie Data Information Network said Saturday.
The film raked in 17.99 million yuan (2.54 million U.S. dollars), accounting for around 30 percent of the daily total.
Coming in second was Chinese animated film "Ne Zha," which grossed 10.64 million yuan on Friday.
Indian movie "2.0," directed by Shankar, ranked third by raking in 9.21 million yuan on its first day of screening.
