TASHKENT, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree to return private notaries to practice after nine years of break in order to improve notary services and raise public confidence, the Ministry of Justice said Tuesday.
Private notary offices will operate on Jan. 1, 2020, the ministry said.
The presidential decree also abolishes some requirements for notaries to approve property deals among others.
A Chamber of Notaries in the central Asian country to consist of all notary offices will be established under the decree.
Resuming the practice of private notaries is considered part of the reforms by Mirziyoyev since he assumed office in December 2016.
