Film "Me and My Motherland" draws on historical moments since PRC founding

BEIJING, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Featuring seven short stories and seven directors led by Chen Kaige, the film "Me and My Motherland" is set to hit Chinese theaters on Sept. 30, the film's official Weibo account announced Sunday.

Drawing on historical, classic moments of the motherland since the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC) in October 1949, the seven directors focus on the seemingly distant yet close ties between individuals and the country, aiming to awaken the common memories of Chinese people around the world.

Starring a number of renowned actors and actresses, the film is a gift for the nation as it celebrates the 70th anniversary of its founding this year, according to the film's official Weibo account.
