ALGIERS, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Algeria's Athletic Club of Paradou (PAC) on Sunday won 3-1 against Tunisia's Sfax Club of Tunis in the first leg of the first round of the African Confederation Cup, held on the 5 July Stadium in Algiers.
The visitors surprised the hosts with an early goal, as Alaa Marzouki scored the opener three minutes after the kick-off. Hamza Mouali equalized for PAC through a perfect free kick (14'). In the second half, Abdelkader Ghorab offered the lead to Paradou (61'), while Yousri Bouzok took the 3-1 lead after converting a penalty (71').
The second leg of this North African derby match is scheduled in Tunis on September 29.
