GHAZNI, Afghanistan, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- One Afghan has been killed and five others injured as a blast hit a mini-bus carrying students in the eastern Ghazni province on Monday, the provincial governor's spokesman said.
"The gruesome incident took place at 12:30 p.m. local time, killing the driver of the mini-bus and injuring five students," Aref Nuri told Xinhua without providing more details.
Meanwhile, police spokesman in the province Ahmad Khan Sirat confirmed the blast, saying a sticky bomb planted by anti-government militants targeted the bus of university students, killing the driver and wounding five students outside the provincial capital of Ghazni.
Taliban militants who are active in parts of the relatively troubled Ghazni province have not commented on the attack.
