BEIJING, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- Chinese sci-fi blockbuster "The Wandering Earth" is among the latest list of films recommended by the Ministry of Education to the country's primary and secondary school students.
Seven films have been recommended to both primary and secondary school students, including "The Wandering Earth" and "The Bravest," according to the list published by the ministry on its website and dated early September.
Hitting screens on Feb. 5, "The Wandering Earth" grossed over 4.6 billion yuan (about 649 million U.S. dollars) on the Chinese mainland, making it the third-highest-grossing film in Chinese box office history.
Three films have been recommended to secondary school students, including "The Secret of China," a film based on American journalist Edgar Snow's book "Red Star over China."
Four other films, mainly animated productions, have been recommended to primary school students.
