DHAKA, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight Thursday morning made an emergency landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka as wheels were failed to retract, an official said.
The airport official who did not like to be named said the Singapore-bound flight BG-084 of the country's national flag carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines took off at about 8:45 a.m. local time on Thursday, carrying 143 passengers on board.
Minutes after taking-off, he said pilots detected that the wheels of Boeing 737 plane were not folding into the aircraft, forcing them to return for an emergency landing.
The passengers were shifted to another Singapore-bound flight later, he added.
A committee has been formed to investigate into the emergency landing of the Biman flight.
