YAOUNDE, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- Nine people were killed and eight others seriously injured after a head collision between a passenger bus and a car on the Yaounde-Douala highway in Cameroon's Littoral region, local authorities said Thursday.
The accident occurred around midnight of Wednesday near the village of Ngwei II of Sanaga Maritime division.
Cameroon's Minister of Transport, Ernest Ngalle Bibehe, has ordered an immediate burial of the corpses to avoid the decomposition of the mortal remains.
The injured are under intensive medical care at a local hospital according to Seme.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
