YANGON, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- A total of 110 public accountants in Myanmar have been awarded ASEAN (the Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Certificates for meeting with set required standards, the Myanmar Institute of Certified Public Accounts (MICPA) said on Sunday.
The MICPA presented the award-winning public accountants under the Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Accountancy services (MRAA).
With this recognition or certificate, Myanmar accountants will have an opportunity to work as account specialists in member countries of ASEAN, Union Auditor-General U Maw Than told the certificate conferring ceremony in Yangon on Saturday.
ASEAN CPA certificate holders are set to conduct account related works by strictly adhering to accountancy ethic, dignity and regulations and become trustworthy account experts for the country as well as foreign countries, the auditor-general added.
