BEIJING, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Former NBA player Jeremy Lin, who will play for Beijing Shougang Ducks in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), said he will try his best to help his team win as many games as possible during an introductory press conference here.

"My goal and the team's goal are the same. I'm coming here to touch my upper limit in CBA every day. I want to help the team to win more games," the 31-year-old said in Chinese.

Lin said he feels bad for what the Chinese basketball team and his friend Guo Ailun did in the FIBA World Cup this summer. "I think it's not fair to judge a player by two or three games. Everybody has his up and downs. Guo did a really good job last season in CBA. Nobody knows how heavy the pressure is to play in a World Cup tournament. Everybody will say bad things to you as long as you don't play well," Lin said.

"I trained with Guo last year. He trained really hard. I'll support him forever unless we play against each other on the court. He is my friend," Lin added.

Lin, a Harvard university graduate, became a global sensation in 2012 during his time with the New York Knicks, a period he was dubbed "Linsanity". He collected 11.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game in his NBA career and won an NBA title last season with the Toronto Raptors.
