BEIJING, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese tech firm Tencent has worked with the National Museum of Brazil to build a digital version of the museum that was devastated by fire in 2018.
A mini-program was launched Friday on the company's popular social media platform WeChat, including about 700 digital profiles of the previous collections of the largest natural history museum in Latin America.
About 400 of these digital profiles were built with materials from public contributions.
Users can digitally visit the museum by accessing photos, videos and written materials about its collections.
This is the first time for the National Museum of Brazil's collections to be featured online through non-Portuguese materials, according to Tencent.
