JAKARTA, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian badminton association has decided to send 20 players to the 2019 SEA Games in the Philippines and targeted at least 2 gold medals in the regional sports event, media reported here on Friday.
"We expect to minimally secure 2 gold medals, still we will strive to obtain 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals," said head of sport development of the association Susi Susanti.
The official said that the squad would rely much on men's team, women's doubles and mixed doubles.
Indonesia won 2 gold and 4 bronze medals in badminton at 2017 SEA Games. The 2019 Games are slated from November 30 to December 11 at the Muntinlupa Sports Complex.
