BEIRUT, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Lebanon Hamad Saeed Al Shamsi said on Friday that the UAE and Lebanon will increase cooperation in private and public sectors in the two countries, the National News Agency reported.
"This cooperation will come into action during the Emirati Lebanese Investment Conference which will be attended by 65 political and economic figures from Lebanon," Al Shamsi said during his meeting with Head of Lebanese Tripoli's Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Toufic Dabbousi.
The conference, which will take place on Oct. 7, comes as Lebanon is going through a tough time.
"Lebanon's role here is to offer investment facilities," the ambassador said.
