UNITED NATIONS, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- China will not ever be cowered by threats, or subdued by pressure, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said here on Friday.
Facing the headwinds of protectionism, China should not just stand idly by, Wang said at the General Debate of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
China will have to make necessary responses to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests, and to uphold international justice, he said.
