Danish gov't proposes to allocate nearly 1 bln USD to restore tax system efficiency

COPENHAGEN, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- The Danish government plans to restore the efficiency of the Danish tax system by proposing to allocate nearly 1 billion U.S. dollars in the government's draft for Finance Act of 2020, which was presented here Wednesday noon.

"The Danes' confidence in the tax system needs to be restored," said Minister for Taxation Morten Bodskov in a press release.

Between 2021 and 2023, a further 660 million dollars will be allocated for the general recovery of the Tax Agency and 110 million dollars for a new tax center with 250 employees specializing in investigating errors, cheating and organized crime.
