SARAJEVO, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Prime Minister Denis Zvizdic sent on Wednesday a letter of support for Tuzla Blok 7, the country's largest postwar energy infrastructure project, Chen Yuhan, who is in charge of BiH operations at China Gezhouba Group Company (CGGC), told Xinhua.
In the letter to Export-Import Bank of China and obtained by CGGC, Zvizdic described the construction of Thermal power plant Tuzla as "one of the most important energy projects in BiH."
"Because of this, the Council of Ministers of BiH has decided to give its support for the construction of thermal power plant in Tuzla," the letter states, adding that this project will contribute to the realization of the country's aim of energy sustainability.
A memorandum on the project was signed in 2014.
The project, to be carried out by the state-owned BiH power company in cooperation with CGGC, is the biggest energy project in the country after its 1992-1995 war. With a total investment of over 800 million euros, it will bring more than 5,000 jobs to BiH. Enditem
