BEIJING, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) -- Ivan Dodig and Filip Polasek powered into the China Open men's doubles final here on Saturday, defeating Jamie Murray and Neal Skupski 6-4, 6-4 in 76 minutes.
Both sets followed a similar pattern, with Dodig/Polasek securing the crucial break in the very first game on both occasions.
The duo's also notched four aces over the course of the match on their way to securing their place in the final.
In the women's doubles, Jelena Ostapenko and Dayana Yastremka defeated Karolina and Kristina Pliskova 4-6, 6-4, 10-6 to secure a spot in the final.
The Pliskova sisters fired nine aces over the course of the match, but that was not enough to answer the overall superior serving of Yastremska/Ostapenko, who shot 81 percent on first services, including a run of eight consecutive points.
They will play Sofia Kenin and Bethanie Mattek-Sands, who made short work of Shuko Aoyama and Ena Shibahara, securing a straight-set 6-4, 6-1 win in just over one hour.
